Course Description: 

Begin the fascinating journey of discovering your family’s story and uncovering the people, places, and events that shaped your past. This course introduces the fundamentals of genealogy research, including how to trace family lines, organize information, and use historical records, online resources, photographs, and family stories to build a richer understanding of your heritage. Whether you are just beginning your search or looking for new tools and ideas, you’ll gain practical guidance and inspiration to help bring your family history to life.

Facilitator Biography: 
Philip Spivey is a professional genetic genealogist. He is Past President of the Albuquerque Genealogical Society, a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the National Genealogical Society. His educational credentials include an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird and a Certificate in Genealogical Research from Boston University, as well as several certificates from the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. He speaks extensively on genealogical research and DNA analysis.
